The RCV123 app efficiently sets up, prints, and scans paper ranked-choice voting ballots, and calculates results instantly.

Ranked-choice voting serves as a beneficial method to reach a consensus on group decisions.

Although the RCV123 app is specifically designed for non-governmental elections at the community level, paper ballots are utilized in 95% of official voting machines in the U.S. Therefore, conducting a DIY vote with RCV123 can be instrumental in raising awareness among citizens about official ranked-choice voting.

Paper ballots offer a practical means for auditing, allowing them to be re-scanned multiple times by anyone or hand-counted.

It's important to note that RCV123 is not a secure voting system. Each group must establish its own protocols regarding ballot distribution, submission processes, scanning procedures, voter anonymity standards, ballot storage methods, and other relevant aspects.

RCV123 solely provides a printing, scanning, and calculation tool for users to implement in accordance with the election policies and practices adopted by their respective groups.

Operated as an IRS 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization, RCV123's mission revolves around civic education on ranked-choice voting. Advocates believe that RCV is user-friendly, reflects voters' true intentions, enhances inclusivity for new candidates and coalitions, and leads to more consensus-driven outcomes.

Ranked-choice voting is employed in the election of government officials statewide in Maine and in various cities such as NYC, Minneapolis, St. Paul, San Francisco, Oakland, as well as several other municipalities within the U.S., with its adoption continuously expanding globally to countries like Ireland and Australia.
